A  LUXE  LEGACY

Celebrating 75 Years of The Plaza at Preston Center.

Early Plaza area road

In 1950, Sam Lobello and his father purchased eleven acres at the corner of two gravel roads and developed what eventually became the Plaza at Preston Center.

The center was an immediate success with the rapid opening of several well-known local retailers, including the first branch for Neiman Marcus.  Since 2013 it has also been the home to the University Park Public Library.

Today, the corner of Preston Road and Northwest Highway sits in the epicenter of Dallas’s most affluent neighborhoods. And the Plaza has become their go-to destination for a broad array of luxury retail and one-of-a-kind dining options.

The Plaza of Preston Center’s enduring style and unmatched tenant mix have made it a Dallas icon, where generations have gathered to shop, dine, and make unforgettable memories.

Seventy-five years ago, it was an intersection.  Today, it’s a destination.
