A full-service Tex-Mex concept restaurant, Muchaco is the latest venture from Chef Omar Flores, a James Beard-twice nominated chef based in Dallas, and business partner Alec Marshi. Mr. Flores and Mr. Marshi are also co-owners of Whistle Britches, a chicken and biscuit concept with locations in Dallas and Plano.

The inviting patio is surrounded by beautiful greenery while the restaurant’s gorgeous interior is decked out with hand tooled leather, dark wood furniture and just the right amount of cowhide.  Inside or out, Muchacho is the perfect spot to sit back, relax and enjoy an elevated version of Tex-Mex.  

THE STORY

Omar Flores previously was Executive Sous Chef at Dallas’ Abacus before opening Driftwood in 2012, Casa Rubia in 2013 and Whistle Britches in 2016. Casa Rubia was named as one of Texas Monthly’s best new restaurants and nominated as a James Beard for best new restaurant in 2013.

“Muchacho has been a long time coming for me,” said Mr. Flores. “Growing up in El Paso exposed me to great, authentic Mexican food. While there isn’t a shortage of Tex-Mex restaurants in Dallas, we are striving to bring a unique restaurant that is better than the rest.”
